Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer Program
The Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center offers a
multidisciplinary approach for the management of
gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, affecting the esophagus, stomach,
pancreas, liver, spleen, colon and rectum.
The team includes skilled medical and surgical oncologists,
radiation oncologists, GI specialists, and nursing staff and
researchers who are dedicated to understanding and treating
these cancers. We work closely with UConn’s unique and
personalized Colon Cancer Prevention Program that employs the
latest imaging techniques and prevention strategies for patients
who are at increased risk of colon cancer. Together, UConn
experts are working to identify patients, including young
patients in their 20’s, who are at risk for GI cancers.
