Research Interests:
Development of a strong clinical research program using novel agents and targeting therapies in the areas of breast, colorectal and lung cancers.

Biography:
Dr. Tannenbaum received her medical degree from State University of New York – Upstate Medical College in Syracuse. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in New York City. She also completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Interest Statement:
Dr. Tannenbaum served for nine years at the National Institutes of Health as a basic scientist and clinical researcher. After leaving the NIH, she spent a year with the Indian Health Service learning about the Native American culture and providing treatment to Native American patients with a special focus on cancer issues. Before coming to the Health Center, Dr. Tannenbaum had been in private practice for seven years in Pasedena, California. She specialized in breast, colorectal and lung cancers.
