Research Interests:
Dr. Li is primarily interested in immunotherapy of cancers, and in the
development of novel cancer vaccines against a variety of cancers including
leukemia.
Biography:
Dr. Li received his medical degree from the Henan Medical University and
Peking Union Medical College, and his Ph.D. in immunology at Mount Sinai
School of Medicine. He did his residency training in internal medicine at
the Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine,
and completed his fellowship in medical oncology at the Fred Hutchinson
Cancer Research Center/University of Washington, Seattle.
Interest Statement:
Dr. Li is presently a principal investigator for several heat shock
protein-based vaccine trials for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia,
cervical cancer, and breast cancer. His laboratory is focused on elucidation
of the mechanisms and requirements for the induction and sustaining of
effective immune response against cancers.
