Research Interests:
Dr. Iyer is currently involved in many of the breast cancer clinical trials being conducted at the Health Center.

Biography:
Dr. Iyer completed medical and surgical training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, as well as a fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland, before completing her surgical internship and residency at the UConn School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Iyer completed a research fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Interest Statement:
During her many years of training, Dr. Iyer received numerous academic awards and accolades in India and the U.S., including the John MacArthur Award for best cancer paper presentation for the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. Among her special interests are breast cancer and endocrine tumors.
