Susan H. Tannenbaum, M.D.
Dr. Tannenbaum is primarily involved in the care of patients
with breast and lung cancer. She is co-director of the Breast
Cancer Research Group and plays a leading role with the Breast
Cancer Program. She has a strong background in research and
clinical care, having worked in private practice, as well as a
researcher with the National Institutes of Health and serving in
the Indian Health Service, where she provided treatment to
Native American patients with a special focus on cancer issues.
Dr. Tannenbaum received her medical degree from State
University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in
Brooklyn. She completed her internship and residency training in
Internal Medicine at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in New
York City. She also completed a fellowship in
hematology/oncology at the Hospital of the University of
Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
