Joel Levine, M.D.
Dr. Levine received his medical degree (Magna Cum Laude) from
the State University of New York Downstate. He completed his
residency and fellowship training at the National Cancer
Institute, the University of Chicago and the Massachusetts
General Hospital.

Interest Statement
Dr. Levine is co-director of the Colon Cancer Prevention
Program. The program focuses on the cause and risks for colon
cancer, the earliest changes that lead to polyps or cancer and
the prevention of cancer. The program includes over twenty
members of the basic research and clinical faculty that have
expertise in the scientific basis for increased risk for colon
cancer and the care of all colon cancer patients or patients and
families at risk. Many of the diagnostic and therapeutic
services are unique within the State or nation and the program
is partnered with the Mayo Clinic and the National Cancer
Institute in the first effort to prevent the development of
colon cancer.
