Robert Greenstein, M.D.

Dr. Greenstein received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center and completed his human genetics fellowship training at the Stanford University Hospital Medical School He has been the director of the Division of Human Genetics since 1975.

Research Interests

  • Clinical protocols for the management of individuals with specific mutations causing hereditary cancer, such as breast/ovary and colon/uterus; application of DNA microarray technology to more effectively identify mutation carriers in families with hereditary cancer.

Interest Statement
Dr. Greenstein is interested in the development of public health genetics programs that bring new genetics technology advances into clinical usefulness, such as the use of DNA mutation analysis for families with hereditary cancer.
