Peter Albertsen, M.D.
Dr. Albertsen has obtained an international reputation for
his work on prostate cancer and is the author of numerous
publications. He is on the editorial board of several journals
and frequently reviews manuscripts for the major urological
journals. Furthermore, he holds the prestigious honor of being a
trustee of the American Board of Urology as well as a member of
the Residency Review Committee of ACGME for Urology. He is a
member of the American Urological Association, American
Association of Genitourinary Surgeons and the Society of
Urologic Oncology among others.
Dr. Albertsen is a graduate of Princeton University and
earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of
Physicians and Surgeons in 1978. After two years of surgical
training at Harvard’s Deaconess Hospital in Boston he completed
his residency training in urology at the Johns Hopkins
University Brady Urological Institute in 1984. He subsequently
received an M.S. in medical administration and preventative
medicine from University of Wisconsin in 1990.
