Comprehensive Care for Women with Gynecologic Cancers
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology offers comprehensive cancer care for the woman with a gynecologic malignancy.

Committed to a multidisciplinary team approach, the Division works closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and a variety of other professionals at the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center to support women and their families throughout all phases of cancer care.

A woman with a tumor of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vulva or vagina will receive surgical, medical or radiological treatments, individualized to her unique needs.

Clinical Trials Offer the Latest Treatment
Women seeking gynecologic care at the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center have the opportunity to participate in a variety of national cancer clinical trials, including the national Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG). Participation in carefully designed and rigorously monitored clinical trials not only provides the patient with the confidence she is receiving the latest and best treatments currently available, but immeasurably assists the national effort to eliminate cancer as a life-threatening hazard to a woman's health. For further information regarding clinical trials at the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, please visit the Clinical Trials Page.

A Commitment to Screening, Prevention, and Wellness
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology also offers other areas of women's health services, including colposcopy and treatment for pre-cancerous conditions identified by abnormal Pap smears; hormone replacement therapy for menopausal women; screening for women at high risk for ovarian cancer and specialized surgical expertise for complex pelvic non-malignant conditions.

The Division is also actively involved in community and state-wide cancer prevention and control efforts and is committed to promoting wellness and health awareness among women in Connecticut.
