community health programs designed to educate and increase public awareness
of wellness and disease prevention.
Celebrate Girls
Celebrate Girls offers programs and health information geared towards pre-teen and teenage girls. The programs are designed to be fun and educational.
Celebrate Women
Celebrate Women is a free membership program aimed at improving the
health of women of all ages. Any woman can join, at no cost or annual fees,
and tap into a wealth of vital health information from UConn Health Center
experts.
Community Medicine Seminar Series
The Department of Community Medicine and Health Care sponsors a free lunch
time seminar series during the academic year featuring dynamic, prominent
speakers on a variety of interesting and current topics for physicians,
public health professionals, researchers, policy makers and the general
public. Larger sessions are held periodically in the evenings. CME credit is
available for physicians.
Discovery Series
Our free monthly programs offer information on a wide variety of health
topics ranging from planning for pregnancy through proper nutrition, to
helping prevent the debilitating onset of osteoporosis.
