UConn Cancer Dialogue

On behalf of the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, we are very pleased to present our newsletter, “Dialogue.” This publication began in the winter of 2001 and has been produced
several times per year thereafter. In the summer of 2006, we adopted a new style of content as well as format. These changes reflect the exciting advances in the Cancer Center that
have occurred over the past three years under the leadership of Carolyn D. Runowicz, M.D.
Our Center's technology, research and approach to patient care have continued to reflect contemporary practices based in the most recent scientific advances. The new approach to
the “Dialogue” is designed to highlight the unique characteristics of the Cancer Center's multidisciplinary and multiprofessional approach to the prevention and treatment of
cancer. We will be producing three Dialogue publications per year, so that over time you can continue to be knowledgeable in the continuing growth of our programs.
We encourage you to read and, where appropriate, consider how the issues identified in this publication could apply to you, your family and friends. We have included a "Cancer
Question" (ask the Doctor) section in which questions you may have related to cancer can be answered by expert clinicians and researchers at the Health Center. Also, we can be
reached directly by our readers via our new email address: cancerquestion@uchc.edu. The Cancer Center team stands ready to help you in
any way we can.
We hope you enjoy, and more importantly benefit from, the “Dialogue."
