Race for the Cure
Where: Bushnell Park, Hartford
This annual event includes a 5K race and walks to raise money
for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research
which has supported projects at the Neag Comprehensive Cancer
Center through the years.

NBC Connecticut Jim Calhoun Cancer Challenge Ride and Walk
Where:
Simsbury Performing Arts Center
Join Connecticut’s Hall of Fame UConn basketball coach Jim
Calhoun, a cancer survivor, in the NBC Connecticut Jim Calhoun
Cancer Challenge Ride and Walk. All proceeds go to the Neag
Comprehensive Cancer Center and Coaches vs. Cancer, a project of
the American Cancer Society. Register to ride or walk by signing
up as an individual, joining an existing team or starting a new
team. The Health Center has four teams that are looking for
members:
1. The Rosenkrantz Riders – captain Ted Rosenkrantz
2. Calhoun Cardiology Center – captain Michael Azrin
3. UConn Fritz Free Riders – captain Joyce Fritz
4. Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center – captain Jody Blumberg
5. Mohs Movers – captain LuAnn Satherlie
