Message from the Director
Throughout my career as a gynecologic oncologist, and during
my years of leadership with the American Cancer Society, the
National Cancer Advisory Board and other national cancer
organizations, I have become increasingly passionate about
cancer prevention. We now have drugs that actually prevent
cancer. We stand at the cusp of a new era in cancer medicine –
one with strong emphasis on prevention, early diagnosis and more
effective treatments.
At the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, we offer
personalized care to help men and women understand their risk of
cancer – and what they can do to prevent the disease. For
patients who have been diagnosed with cancer, we offer
comprehensive cancer care in a warm and trusting environment. As
a cancer survivor, I understand the importance of giving
patients the best care science offers, as well as the best
support and assistance to ensure quality of life for patients
and their families.
